Area Lead

Our Pharmaceutical Systems Business Unit is a worldwide leader in the manufacturing of pharmaceutical primary packaging and analytical lab services.   More than 600 production lines in 13 countries globally, responsible for producing more than 10 billion syringes, vials, ampoules, cartridges and special articles of tubing glass or polymer.  We think customers, users and patients first.  We think people! 

Your Tasks

  • Collaborate with Process and Reliability leads in area decision making, direction setting and plan for the day.
  • Leads CIL and Skill building system implementation and progression for the area
  • Develops the area 90-Day Plans to address losses and build capability
  • Provides on-the-floor coaching of equipment owners across all shifts and attends the planned stop daily.
  • Provide Skill Development/Technical Mastery/Coaching and Training
  • Executes monthly review accountability of Area Master Plans and results
  • Accountable for following all Quality, Safety and Company policies, systems and standards
  • Monitor the quality in the production process to prevent quality failures and ensure compliance with company policies, GMP’s, and government regulations and policies.
  • Champion TPM activities, Teams, Safety, and Quality objectives for their respective area.
  • Provide input into performance reviews for operational team members.
  • Develop and/or executes effective training plans to further develop team members skills and knowledge to achieve proper execution of training and operating procedures.
  • Builds effective relationships with people across functions at all levels.
  • Follow cGMP, ISO guidelines and Company Core Values (Respect Others, Act Responsibly, Create Value, Drive Innovation)

Your Profile

  • BS in Engineering or Science with 0-2 years relevant work experience in related industries, or BA with 2+ years of relevant experience in a technical, manufacturing operation producing high volume consumer/food/pharmaceutical products, or High School Diploma with 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical, manufacturing operation producing high volume consumer/food/pharmaceutical product
  • Experience in consumer/food/pharmaceutical products industry a plus.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of production management, cost, quality, safety, and personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and motivate people.
  • Ability to grow and develop associates.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Exposure to ISO 9001 and 14001; along with cGMP, is preferred
