The Business Unit SCHOTT Flat Glass creates aesthetic and individual glass solutions for household appliances as well as commercial applications. Within our division Food Display, we are a global supplier for glass cover systems in commercial refrigeration with a strong reputation for long-lasting quality, perfect product finish and true innovations. SCHOTT is the only truly global supplier of glass cover systems with production plants in Europe, Brazil and Malaysia and a global sales and support network. 

To join our Food Display team in Mainz, we are looking for a Junior Regional Sales Manager (m/f/d) focusing on the DACH countries, who strives to individually develop and move our sales and innovations forward. In order to serve our customers best, we demand your passion to turn needs into solutions paired with your ambition to exceed the customers’ expectations. Your Tasks

  • You support building our Food Display sales activities in the DACH region
  • You capture the commercial refrigeration market in order to seize promising business opportunities
  • You approach prospects to expand our business via proactive measures
  • You assume responsibility for your assigned customer group
  • You identify the needs of existing and new customers and advise them regarding feasibility in consultation with our international product development departments
  • You contribute to your prospects’ competitiveness by selling them best-matching solutions
  • You represent us at the customer's site and at trade shows 
  • You travel regularly to ensure customer proximity

Your Profile

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering with a business acumen or Business with a strong-technical mindset, or comparable qualification
  • First professional experience in B2B (front) sales in an industrial company, ideally focusing on food retailing and/or commercial refrigeration
  • Experience in cooperating with decision makers of industrial customers would be a plus
  • Outgoing and highly motivated sales personality with a distinct focus on customer needs and expectations
  • Fluent command of German and English
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Proactive and hands-on work approach with a high results-orientation
  • Excellent presentation, communication and networking skills
