In the area of Research and Development at the site Mainz, we offer to the earliest possible date for at least 4 to 6 months a Master's Thesis on the subject of Plasma modification of glass surfaces (m/f/d). 

Your Tasks

  • Surface modification of different glass and glass ceramics by using plasma process
  • Mechanical and chemical characterization of glass surfaces before and after treatment
  • Literature survey on related topic and latest technologies

Your Profile

  • Advanced Master studies in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or Material Science and Engineering
  • First practical experiences in setting up or controlling complex SiOx systems
  • Fluent English and German skills (C-level)
  • Good team and communication skills
  • Self-reliant and structured way of working
