The Business Unit SCHOTT Flat Glass creates aesthetic and individual glass solutions for household appliances as well as commercial applications. Within our division Food Display, we are a global supplier for glass cover systems in commercial refrigeration with a strong reputation for long-lasting quality, perfect product finish and true innovations. SCHOTT is the only truly global supplier of glass cover systems with production plants in Europe, Brazil and Malaysia and a global sales and support network. 


For our sales team in Mainz, we are looking for a Regional Sales Manager (m/f/d) focusing on the DACH countries with the ambition to drive our Food Display sales and innovations forward. In order to serve our customers best, we demand your passion to act hand-in-hand with the customers and your ambition to exceed their expectations. Your Tasks

  • You establish close relationships with industrial customers in the DACH region to increase our market share in the commercial refrigeration and food retail business
  • You approach prospects to expand our business via proactive measures 
  • You observe market activities and price variances to adjust sales and pricing strategies
  • You develop customer-specific annual goals, action plans and marketing strategies
  • You assume responsibility for price negotiations, preparation and post-processing of offers and contracts according to overall strategy
  • You travel regularly to ensure customer proximity
  • You participate in international sales conferences as part of our global sales team

Your Profile

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering with a business acumen or Business with a strong-technical mindset, or comparable qualification
  • Min. 5 years of professional experience in B2B (front) sales in an industrial company, ideally focusing on food retailing and/or commercial refrigeration
  • Profound experience in cooperating with decision makers of industrial customers 
  • Outgoing and highly motivated sales personality with a distinct focus on customer needs and expectations
  • Fluent command of German and English
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • Proactive and hands-on work approach with a high results-orientation
  • Excellent presentation, communication and networking skills
