Your Tasks

Located at our North American corporate headquarters in Rye Brook, New York, the International Graduate, Finance & Controlling position is designed to accelerate the early development of a Plant Controller potential by offering the opportunity to the chosen candidate the opportunity to experience several rotational assignments within a number of SCHOTT’s business units and with the finance function. The position will provide the chosen candidate: the ability to “learn by doing” and will provide greater exposure to various departments within the business and a better understanding of SCHOTT.  Rotational assignments across the US and one short-term international assignment are part of the 18-24 month program.

  • Develop a portfolio of project assignments to demonstrate cumulative learning and as a basis of discussion for future assignments.
  • Partner with business leadership and internal team members to identify and analyze business needs and provide innovative recommendations/solutions.
  • Lead and participate on project teams comprised of indirect resources, global colleagues and cross functional members – ensure that milestones are achieve and clear direction is established on future deliverables
  • Balance day to day responsibilities with project related priorities
  • Identify areas of improvement and streamline processes to ensure faster, more accurate or cost efficient implementation of deliverables
  • Clearly and concisely communicate ideas, facts and technical information to senior management, team members, as well as to other internal/external customers both verbally and written
  • Support the month-end, quarter-end, year-end closings and the preparation of business activity reports, financial position forecasts

Your Profile


  • At least 3 years related experience preferably in manufacturing or related industry
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree from an accredited institution required, Master's preferred
  • Strong communication + interpersonal skills, including excellent presentation skills
  • History of demonstrated results & high performance
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Outlook, and database applications; (SAP a plus)
  • Foreign language skills a plus but not required
