Senior Sales Account Manager

Our Business Unit Home Tech with its innovative solutions made of special glass and glass ceramic, is a leading global supplier in the home appliance- and consumer electronics industry. CERAN® glass-ceramic panels for cooktops are one of SCHOTT’s great success stories. Numerous processing technologies, materials, components and modules allow solutions for a wide range of applications – in the areas of cooking, baking, heating and also safety, which includes fire protection as well as cover- and ultra-thin glass for mobile devices and innovations in the area of diagnostics.

Your Tasks

  • Develop & maintain SCHOTT business in consumer electronic device and related accessory market, and willing to learn and develop business opportunities in these applications.
  • Sales activities is to focus on specific supply chain to specify SCHOTT products and support the project from prototype phase to mass production regardless of where mass production takes places.

  • Act as main contact for all customers located in PRC by maintaining and expending the relationship across the full customer organization (Purchasing / R&D / production / quality, etc.).

  • Main responsibility is to achieve the targeted sales development by proposed right solutions and business model meeting the customer expectations.

  • Take the leadership and the ownership of the local business development by the assigned customers.

  • Identify and understand the customers’ needs and business trends, report the worldwide competitor activities, gather region & segment market information and exchange information timely.

  • Monitor and manage key account sales per coordinate and implement team sales objective, be proactive and aggressive for new business development.

  • Maintain and initiate sales activities including customer relationship and technical support in the customer side, focus on identified customer base and new potential accounts development.

  • Lead the projects and be good communication window between customer side and SCHOTT internal. Direct report to the Sales Director.

Your Profile

  • 5 to 10 years of qualified Sales including Account Management experience in consumer electronic industries is preferred. Bachelor degree or above in Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering or Business Administration is preferred, but not must.
  • Experience in cover glass or relevant product business is definitely an advantage, but not essential. Basic knowledge of electronics devices value chain & OEM/ODM process.

  • Good understanding of electronics devices structure and assembly process, and market situation.

  • Having related marketing / product development experience in consumer electronics would be preferred.
  • Has proven experience of developing new market/customer independently and the ability of maintaining key customers, while being essentially a committed team player.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills;

  • Good command of Mandarin and English language. Good PC (MS-office) skills.

  • Able to travel frequently, having passion on business development.
