At our Turkish plants in Cerkezköy and Bolu, we produce products for our home appliances segment (Business Unit Flat Glas) and both sites account for more than half of the segments’s global revenues.  

With the current General Manager’s assignment in Turkey ending within a year’s time, we are now seeking an experienced General Manager to take his place and lead both plants.

Your Contribution

• The GM Turkey is responsible for both sites with full P&L as well as for the supply chain (three direct reports as well as further responsibility for support functions, e.g. HR, finance, sales and innovation.
• The main tasks include ensuring smooth operations, growing and further developing the business segment, ensuring union support and representing SCHOTT Orim to institutions and business partners.
• The overall leadership is roughly 600 to 700 employees, with the majority being based in Cerkezköy.

Your Profile

• Relevant university degree in business and/or engineering
• Relevant experience in one of the following industries: home appliances, automotive, chemicals, pharmaceuticals
• Experience as General Manager, Country Head, Plant Director or similar in a global, international company with a complex, matrix structure. A background in a technical/ operational role is an advantage
• Strong leader with a trustworthy motivational and extrovert personality
• Strong business acumen; target oriented and analytical mindset
• Fluency in both English and Turkish
