Your Contribution

  • Planning: Prepares budget plans for HR activities and plans manpower needed.  Plans external manpower for various activities at the site and budget for external services related to HR, e.g., occupational health and social services (canteen, kindergarten, school activities).
  • Recruitment & Placement: Ensures proper and timely recruitment and placement of all manpower needed at the site.  Selects adequate recruiting measures, initiates internal and external vacancy announcements.  Screens incoming applications, pre-selects candidates, conducts interviews and forwards suitable applications to the respective managers.  Ensures proper conduct of internal transfers and short-term assignments.  Advises and supports management in all employee related activities.  Prepares terminations of employment caused by the employer as well as upcoming labor court cases.  Prepares warning letters, testimonials, and similar correspondence for employees.  Conducts exit interviews.
  • Termination of Employment: Prepares due diligence activities in case of enterprise sellings and purchasing concerning the HR part.  Ensures proper and timely performance of transfer of business in case of sales of certain parts of the plant.  Consults site management in terms of possible risks for the employees.
  • Works Council: Serves as point of contact for the local works council and informs its representatives about all measures concerning employment.  Obtains works council’s approval and/or consult for certain measures.
  • Employee Development: Screens requests for personnel action concerning possible future development of employees in higher level duties and offers new positions.  Monitors regional labor market, contacts local employment agencies and other institutes such as universities and schools in order to recruit manpower as needed.
  • Supervisory Duties: Leads, promotes, and motivates the employees within his/her area of responsibility, especially performance appraisal and goal setting agreement, successor and representative planning, personnel development and training measures.

Your Profile

  • University Degree in Economic or Social Science
  • 6-8 years of vocational experience in HR, supervisory experience
  • MS Office, good command of the English language, SAP Module HR
