Your Contribution

  • Controls and conducts all feeding, melting, forming, pouring, glass feeding, and annealing operations 
  • Maintains proper batch melting levels while observing, adjusting and recording the temperatures, air-gas mixtures and stirring actions of the melt, feeder and mold
  • Check internal product quality and product dimensions; trims no-conforming areas and recycles cullet
  • Prepares forms and molds as needed, disassembly and inspection of bar molds
  • Remove, weigh, mark and places product into annealing ovens
  • Transport materials and products
  • Sample to evaluate product being produced.
  • Measures indices, makes corrections to bring glass into specifications, maintains production records.
  • Controls and records coarse and fine annealing ovens and readouts in various production areas
  • Replace and perform routine maintenance on defective equipment.
  • Maintain accuracy, efficient work while upholding quality control
  • Maintain orderliness and cleanliness within work areas
  • Implement 5S plus safety principles within work areas
  • Removal of Hazardous Waste and garbage in work area

Your Profile

•    High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED).
•    Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, customer drawings, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
•    1-3 years of manufacturing experience is preferred.
•    Ability to work all three shifts on a rotating schedule.
•    Ability to manually lift and manipulate 50 pounds and work in high temperature environment.
•    Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Starting rate:   $26.25/hour with 6 month progression increases up to 18 months.    Shift differentials for second and third shifts.
