Your Contribution

Responsibility

  • Responsible for global technology projects and sub projects in the Sterile Engineering Glass team within the R&D and Global Engineering department (P RD)
  • Acts as overall project owner from a site and business perspective, with end-to-end accountability from project initiation through ramp up and handover into operations
  • Ensures alignment of project objectives with plant strategy, operational needs and stakeholder expectations

 

Project Management

  • Plans and executes projects in alignment with the supervisor, steering committee and sponsor
  • Organizes and leads interdisciplinary project teams across Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain
  • Has overall responsibility for scope, timeline, budget, quality and risks
  • Conducts detailed planning of project phases, milestones, work packages and deliverables
  • Delegates and coordinates work packages to sub project and workstream owners
  • Provides guidance and direction to sub project, workstream and work package leads
  • Drives and monitors project progress and reports transparently on quality, financial and timeline targets
  • Defines, initiates and tracks countermeasures in case of deviations from project goals
  • Represents the project internally and externally towards steering committees, plant management, upper management, suppliers and other stakeholders
  • Leads projects in compliance with SCHOTT guidelines, governance and escalation rules

 

Engineering / Commissioning of Production Lines

  • Creates line setup and manufacturing concepts for future capacity expansion and introduction of new technologies, based on requirements from product development and operations
  • Ensures equipment supply activities are structured, manageable and aligned with project objectives
  • Is responsible for the overall coordination of planning, ordering, installation and startup of new production machines and lines
  • Coordinates interfaces between plants, product and process development, quality, suppliers and other supporting functions
  • Ensures that engineering solutions support project success, operational readiness and ramp up stability

 

Ramp Up, OPEX & Site Impact

  • Has overall responsibility for ramp-up planning and execution, including transition from project execution into routine production
  • Ensures operational readiness regarding equipment, processes and organizational interfaces
  • Coordinates OPEX relevant topics within the project context (efficiency, stability, cost impact)
  • Ensures project decisions deliver sustainable long-term value for the site, beyond mechanical completion or validation

 

Documentation

  • Documents project activities according to internal project management guidelines.
  • Ensures all technical, qualification and validation documents are available, complete and compliant with regulations and laws
  • Ensures environmental, safety and GMP requirements are fulfilled
  • Provides structured and management appropriate project reporting and documentation

 

Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies improvement potential in internal processes and procedures
  • Actively supports and drives improvements in alignment with colleagues and superiors
  • Proposes technology optimizations and solution approaches considering project, operational and cost impact

 

Your Profile

 

  • University Degree in Engineering, Sciences or similar
  • 3+ years of project management experience in leading roles
  • 5+ years of professional experience in engineering/ commissioning of production lines
  • Pharma knowledge 
  • Business fluent English
  • Strong communication/ presentation skills
  • Project management methodological skills
  • Team building & leadership skills 
  • Global travelling 10%
