Internship Ceramic Converter Material (m/f/d)

Are you interested to support our Ceramic Converter Business Development? Ceramic Converters convert light from blue laser diodes. The remission of (converted) light enables highest luminance for applications like laser projectors, searchlights and others. Besides those markets already addressed, we are evaluating business opportunities in the area of technical ceramics.  We are looking for an intern (m/f/d) in fulltime to support our ceramic converter business development and product management at our site in Mainz to the earliest possible date for at least 3 to 5 months.  During the internship there is the possibility to clarify, if a thesis position after the internship will be imaginable.

Your Tasks

  • Conducting a market study and competitive analysis of technical ceramics considering the main players in industry and research, key competencies, products offered and potential future trends and most important product benefits offered
  • Developing an aynalysis of institute topics and research topics via funding program analysis and conference topics
  • Evaluating potential business models for SCHOTT based on existing capabilities
  • Supporting the validation of strategic ideas and appoaches as well as the implementation of the selected business model

Your Profile

  • Advanced studies in Mechanical Engineering, Material Engineering, Ceramics engineering or Business Engineering
  • Analytical skills and technical understanding, preferably in area of ceramic processing and technical ceramic products
  • First practical experiences and know how on strategic analysis
  • Fluent English skills
  • Team oriented, interested in driving topics on your own,
  • Interested to work on business models and their evaluation
