We are seeking a Product Development Engineer to join our product development and design team. You will support the innovation and delivery of microfluidic devices within contract design and development programs and partnerships. You will apply your engineering expertise to deliver technical outcomes that miniaturize point-of-care, drug-delivery, bio-reactor, and integrated biosensor workflows into microfluidic consumables. You will contribute to project success, work directly with our global clients, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Your Contribution
- Apply engineering and scientific expertise to solve technical challenges and contribute to the success of product development projects through design, simulation, and active testing/prototype data collection
- Leverage theory, simulation, rapid prototyping, design for manufacturing (DFM), injection molding requirements, and design for automation (DFA) principles to create, de-risk, and optimize consumable architectures per custom scoped project offers
- Experiment, measure, test, build, and document new concept candidate outcomes to improve products and processes
- Independently manage assigned tasks, prioritize workload effectively, and deliver high-quality results while meeting project timelines and objectives
- Participate in project planning, scheduling, risk and financial tracking, and progress reporting internally and with external partners
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, communicate clearly with stakeholders at all levels, and proactively share updates to ensure alignment and project success
Your Profile
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology, Applied biological sciences, or related technology field. Advanced degree preferred
- Minimum 3+ years of post- graduate industry experience in product development, ideally within Biotechnology, Medical Devices and/or microfluidic applications
- Strong knowledge of waterfall and agile product development processes and design methodologies
- Project management experience, including planning, scoping, scheduling, and risk management
- Experience with development within ISO 13485 / Regulated Quality Management Systems
- Proactive, innovative, and committed to quality and continuous improvement
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity, adapting to change, and working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong collaboration, communication, organizational, and time management skills
