About us
For our Business Unit “Advanced Optics”, we are seeking an experienced sales leader to fill our newly established function as “Head of Global Sales Semiconductor” for SCHOTT’s Quartz Glass Business. The Head of Global Sales Semiconductor leads the global semiconductor sales organization Quartz Glass, including Global Key Account Management for major customers. The role is fully accountable for global sales performance and sales process excellence in a highly technical B2B semiconductor environment.
Your Contribution
- Define and lead the global sales strategy for SCHOTT’s semiconductor business
- Lead and develop international sales teams across regions and cultures
- Build and expand strategic, long-term partnerships with global key customers
- Drive sustainable revenue growth, profitability, and market positioning
- Oversee global sales planning, forecasting, and budget responsibility
- Collaborate closely with Product Management, R&D, and Operations to align market needs with SCHOTT’s technology portfolio
- Identify market, technology, and customer trends to translate insights into strategic initiatives
- Represent SCHOTT at senior customer interfaces and within the global semiconductor ecosystem
Your Profile
- University degree in engineering, natural sciences, business administration, or a comparable field
- Ability to align global sales strategy with regional execution
- Strong background in operational sales, sales process steering and use of state-of-the-art sales tools
- Proven experience selling technical materials / engineered products; experience in selling quartz glass products would be a benefit
- Deep understanding of semiconductor market dynamics; semiconductor equipment industry experience strongly preferred
- Proven capability to lead global, cross-cultural sales teams across US, Europe, and Asia
- Strong intercultural competence, particularly in managing Asian customer expectations - fluency in Korean or another Asian language is a benefit
- Fluency in English and willingness to travel internationally
