Lighting Assembler C, 1st Shift
Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.
- Prepare tubing; assemble fiber bundles.
- Work under instruction with drawings to assemble mechanical parts.
- Grind and polish fiber optics assemblies with guidance.
- Basic understand for the manufacturing documentation, EDS & FOD requirements.
- Provide feedback regarding production issues.
- Label and package products, make boxes and maintain appropriate levels of work supplies
- Work with manufacturing and engineering to make suggestions for process improvement.
- Measure dimensions related to prints; Under Supervision set-up tests according to appropriate test procedures.
- Coordinate efforts to make team schedules and quality goals.
- Communicate with other team members and manufacturing support personnel.
- Maintains housekeeping practices per departmental 5S program.
- Able to meet utilization targets and standard times.
- Accurately enters Database/SAP transactions in the computer.
- Maintain daily records, including labor sheets and routers.
- Complies to all safety rules and regulations.
- Conduct other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-3 years’ experience on the job or in a manufacturing field.
- Good manual dexterity and excellent hand/eye coordination.
- Effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply and divide).
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
