Our Business Unit Lighting and Imaging offers challenging lighting and image transmission solutions for applications in the markets of automotive, aviation, medical devices, as well as industrial and safety engineering. With production units in Europe, North-America and the worldwide SCHOTT sales organization Lighting and Imaging is a leading supplier for fiber optic components.

Your Contribution

• Provides technical support in the development and improvement of manufacturing processes.
• Updates and maintains process documentation such as process specifications, material specifications, route sheets, design sheets, etc.  
• Enters purchase requisitions on behalf of the manufacturing team and follows up on their status.
• Inspects in-process work to ensure quality and to verify proper process specifications are being followed.
• Performs complex machine/equipment maintenance and inspections.
• Troubleshoots and performs technical repairs.
• Thorough understanding of Database/SAP transactions.
• Maintains inventory of parts, tooling, and supplies.

Your Profile

• A.S. degree in a technical discipline, or equivalent technical work experience.
• Minimum three (3) years' experience in a scientific or technical field.
• Capable of providing technical support for the improvement and development of manufacturing products and processes.
• Computer proficiency and experience using Microsoft Office software.
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Ability to work in a team oriented environment.
• Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
• Due to the nature of work performed at this facility, US Person status may be required.

Hourly Pay Range: ($30.00-$33.00)
Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
