Materials Planner

SCHOTT Electronic Packaging is a leading developer and manufacturer of hermetic housings and other components for the reliable, long-term protection of sensitive electronics. Our core technologies are glass-to-metal and ceramic-to-metal sealing, thermal sensing components as well as a variety of cutting edge specialty glass competences.

Your Tasks

  • Responsible for Planning, Scheduling, Production Order creation, Material movement, Expediting, and Cycle Counting.
  • Plan and schedule designated product groups according to SAP, and the Master Schedule.
  • Review inventory levels, and perform Cycle Counting in stockroom.
  • Use existing and develop new systems as needed to manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels to meet inventory goals.
  • Drive continuous improvements in material flow to eliminate waste in the production process.
  • Back up Shipping, Receiving, and Supply Chain Manager as needed.

Your Profile

  • HS Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business field preferred
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Planning or Production Control in a manufacturing environment
  • APICS certification preferred
  • Knowlede of SAP R/3
  • Strong computer skills using Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Must be improvement oriented, show initiative and creativity in accomplishing goals for the business
  • Must have advance degree of communication skills, oral & written, for internal/external customers
  • Must have the ability to read, analyze and interpret production schedules using Excel and MRP database tools
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Due to the nature of work performed at our facility, U.S. Person status is required.
