Quality Specialist

SCHOTT Electronic Packaging is a leading developer and manufacturer of hermetic housings and other components for the reliable, long-term protection of sensitive electronics. Our core technologies are glass-to-metal and ceramic-to-metal sealing, thermal sensing components as well as a variety of cutting edge specialty glass competences.

Your Tasks

  • Review and approve product records for release to customers.
  • Support Quality Assurance Department requirements where needed.
  • Reviews and approves batches to verify product was produced per plan.
  • Creates all documents for Certificate of Conformances in the order shipping package.
  • Maintains calibration system.
  • Maintain site record management system.
  • Assists in training of operators on the QMS Procedures, Work Instructions and submits completed training documents to Human Resources for filing.
  • Assist Quality Assurance Manager in preparation of internal, customer and third-party audits and implementation of Corrective Actions of any findings.

Your Profile

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
  • College level technical courses leading to 4-year degree preferred.
  • 2 years’ QC/QA inspection or relevant experience required.
  • Experience in regulated industry; aerospace, medical or automotive preferred.
  • ERP system experience.
  • Experience with MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with ISO-9001, AS9100 or ISO13485 Quality Management System.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Capable of correct interpretation of specifications, prints and working documentation.
  • Capable of scheduling work activities to meet production goals.
  • Effective at managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Due to the nature of work performed at our facility, U.S. Person status is required.
